At the University the training is provided at Medical Faculty (6 years duration) and Dentist Faculty (5 years duration). At the University, all necessary facilities have been provided for organization and maintenance to assume a control over the students’ knowledge in subjects of the general fundamental sciences.. The examination verifies the knowledge of subjects from the cycle of professional and practical training and in the same time it envisages a wide test control over the current and final levels. After successful passing of the state examinations graduates of KNMU are awarded the qualification of Doctor, the title the Doctor of Medicine and the Degree of Master.

Each academic year starts on September and consists of two semesters:
- Semester 1 – from September to January;
- Semester 2 – from February to July.
The training is given in the following specialties:
- General Medicine( MBBS) 6 year

- Clinical residency 2-4 years
- Postgraduate course, 3 years
